Ogden City's vision for reshaping Wall Avenue into a more lively and dynamic corridor is edging closer to reality as city officials, alongside urban planners from Kimley-Horn and Design Workshop, prepare to unveil their draft concept. According to Ogden City, the plan, which is cultivated from earlier public feedback, aims to revitalize the downtown stretch of Wall Avenue.
The fruits of this collaborative urban design effort will see the light of day on August 27th, they've set for a public presentation during the Make Ogden Open House, which is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. at the iconic Union Station. This plan is not only a pivotal step toward enhancing the cityscape but also a reflection of the community’s aspirations and concerns that were diligently gathered through prior engagements.
Community members, stakeholders, and all those invested in the future fabric of Ogden are encouraged to participate in the upcoming forum. This setting provides a platform for the voices of residents to be heard, as well as an opportunity to offer direct feedback on the proposed changes they will see along their daily travels and business encounters.
The project team, having melded their technical expertise with local insights, promises a corridor plan that extends beyond mere aesthetics; it serves as a potential catalyst for economic growth and improved urban livability. By sharing their preferred concept for downtown Wall Avenue, local leaders and designers endeavor to illustrate not only the potential physical transformations but also how such an overhaul could reverberate positively throughout the community.
