Southwest Oklahoma City is the focus of a homicide investigation after a body was found yesterday morning. According to News9, police responded to Southwest 36th Street and Parkview Avenue before 9 a.m. and discovered the victim in a truck with gunshot wounds. The investigation extended across several blocks in the area.

KOCO reported that the body was located in the bed of a pickup truck near a park, close to a service road along Interstate 44.

KFOR confirmed the victim as 35-year-old Omero Quinonez. Authorities said Quinonez had been in an argument with 25-year-old Tyler Waterman when the shooting occurred. Waterman fled the scene but was later arrested in Moore and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder complaint.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
