
Oklahoma City’s former Representative Debbie Blackburn has passed away. During her time in office, she worked on programs such as the Oklahoma College Savings Plan and the historic building rehabilitation tax credit and supported public education and community development, according to the Oklahoma Senate.
Senator Mark Mann said, "It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of my friend, the Honorable Debbie Blackburn." He noted her contributions to the state and community, as reported by the Oklahoma Senate.
Debbie Blackburn worked on legislation and public safety initiatives in Oklahoma. Sen. Mann said, "Debbie's legacy is large and includes her significant contributions to the Oklahoma Legislature where she championed numerous initiatives, including the Oklahoma College Savings Plan and the historic building rehabilitation tax credit, and always stood tall for public education." He added, "Her efforts in community development and public safety have made lasting impacts that will be felt for generations." Mann also said, "I will miss my frequent calls with Debbie but take solace in the fact that her contributions will continue to help Oklahomans well into the future," as mentioned by the Oklahoma Senate.
