Parkview Health announced its plans to dramatically enhance healthcare access in Lebanon, Indiana, through a $150 million investment into a new full-service hospital. Located in the developing Hickory Junction and set to commence construction in 2026, the hospital is positioned at the crossroads of I-65 and State Road 39, poised to potentially reshape local medical care. Slated for completion by summer 2028, the facility will include a 108,000-square-foot hospital complete with an around-the-clock emergency department, inpatient medical services, and surgical specialty care. In addition, a 30,000-square-foot medical office is designed to host primary and specialty care services, outpatient diagnostics, and a shared employer clinic. This project is projected to introduce more than 200 healthcare jobs in the region, according to the official announcement by Parkview Health.

Dr. Greg Johnson, Parkview Health's chief physician executive of growth markets, emphasized the need for high-quality healthcare in burgeoning regions like Boone County, particularly to support its escalated expansion. "By investing here, we want to ensure that families in Lebanon and surrounding communities can receive advanced care close to home, delivered by providers who are committed to their neighbors for generations to come," Dr. Johnson told lebanon.in.gov.

The broader vision for Hickory Junction, as unveiled by Card & Associates in 2021, forecasts a thriving 350-acre mixed-use development. Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry hailed the arrival of Parkview Health, citing the hospital as a milestone for expanded healthcare access and a high-caliber boost to local services. "Parkview’s commitment to Lebanon reflects the strength of our community, and we are eager to build a lasting partnership that benefits our residents for years to come," Mayor Gentry shared in the same announcement.

According to the ambitious plans of the Hickory Junction's development, visitors and locals are to be treated to a multi-sport, entertainment, and residential complex that aims to put Lebanon on the map as a premier destination. Andy Card, CEO and founder of Card & Associates, recognized Parkview Health's role in bringing innovative and convenient healthcare access to the table. "Hickory Junction, like most major developments, is at its mid-point, and we look forward to what’s yet to come," Andy Card expressed in a statement obtained by lebanon.in.gov.

Furthermore, Parkview Health's sustained growth across northern Indiana is marked by recent initiatives including new facilities in Marion and a hospital in West Lafayette. John Bowen, Parkview's chief growth markets officer, underlined the organization's dedication to cost reduction, including a shared employer clinic to lower healthcare expenses for Lebanon's businesses. "Together, these efforts ensure patients have both greater choice and greater value," he explained in the same Lebanon statement.
