In a tragic turn of events, a woman from Pleasant Hill has succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicle crash in Sabine Parish. According to a statement by the Louisiana State Police, Victoria Grantham, 28, lost her life when her car violently struck a tree on Tuesday evening. Police were called to the scene at the intersection of Progress Church Road and WPA Road around 9:40 p.m., where they found Grantham deceased.
The preliminary findings suggest that Grantham was driving a 2025 Kia Seltos headed south on WPA Road. Somehow failing to properly halt at the stop, her vehicle then left the road and collided with a tree. Reports indicate that she was not using her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Authorities are still looking to understand fully why the unfortunate incident transpired, as reported by the Louisiana State Police.
