The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's assistance to find a missing endangered woman, Doris Strunk, a 63-year-old resident of a local care facility. According to the City of Portland, Strunk was last seen on the evening of August 21 and has been reported missing since early on August 22.
Doris Strunk, while at the residence near Northeast 114th Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street, owned a machete before it was confiscated by the staff. Following this event, her whereabouts have become unknown. Doris is described as a Caucasian woman, standing about 5'3" and weighing around 100 lbs, with brown eyes and long grey hair, as detailed by the City of Portland.
The police have expressed concern for her well-being, stating that Strunk suffers from several illnesses and has been without her necessary medication for a week. She was spotted last time wearing a black windbreaker with pink trim. While known to stick close to her neighborhood, she is often found frequenting areas around Northeast Halsey Street and NE 122nd Ave, as well as the intersection of Northeast Halsey and Northeast 114th Ave, as per the City of Portland.
Residents and anyone in the vicinity of these locations are asked to stay vigilant and report any sightings of Strunk to the authorities.
