In the pre-dawn hours of a tragic Wednesday morning, a fatal motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Prescott High School student. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, just after 7:30 am yesterday, deputies arrived on the scene on Williamson Valley Road between Burnt Ranch and Sylvan Road. The young rider, only 16, was found in critical condition following the crash.
Amid the morning's regular activities, first responders rushed to perform life-saving measures, battling against the inevitable. With the road as their backdrop, a heartbreaking scene unfolded where the student, embraced by aid and urgency, was pronounced deceased, as per the YCSO.
"The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office extends our heartfelt condolences to the teen's family, loved ones, and the entire Prescott High School community," read a statement made by the YCSO. "Speed was likely a factor; however, the crash remains under investigation," the Sheriff's Office told reporters.
