
The Phoenix Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for missing citizen Winthrop Whitaker, last seen on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. near 39th Ave. and Michigan Ave. in Phoenix, Arizona. Whitaker, a 76-year-old white male with gray hair and blue eyes, stands at 5'9" and weighs about 165 pounds. He was reported to be wearing a dark colored shirt, dark shorts, and sandals at the time he went missing.
According to preliminary information obtained by the Phoenix Police Department, Whitaker walked away from his sister's house and may currently be in a vulnerable state. Recently informed about his sister's health, Whitaker, who is visiting from Hawaii, is not to be familiar with the Phoenix area. His medical condition can cause him to appear disoriented or confused, adding to the urgency of locating him.
The investigating agency, led by Detective Lourdes Lopez, urges anyone with information about Whitaker's whereabouts to immediately get in contact. Detective Lopez can be reached at 602-684-4250.
