The Town of Queen Creek is holding an art and poetry contest for K-12 students as part of Constitution Week. Students are invited to submit entries for a “Patriotic Poem” or create artwork depicting the “Constitutional Timeline.” Submissions must be delivered to the Municipal Services Building by August 21, according to the Town of Queen Creek.
Winning entries will receive prizes provided by local businesses, including Dave & Busters, Fat Cats, and Pecan Lake Entertainment Center. In addition, selected poems will be presented at the “Land that I Love” Constitution Concert & Celebration on September 13 at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. The event will feature performances by Queen Creek high school students and a lecture by Steven Collis, as reported by the Town of Queen Creek.
Founders' Day in Queen Creek will be held on September 20 at Frontier Family Park, presented by Earnhardt Queen Creek Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. The event will include activities such as the Battle of the Badge competition and displays of Constitution Week contest entries.
