Residents of Ramsey County have a refreshed space to access county services, with the reopening of the Maplewood Service Center housed inside Maplewood Mall. The new suite, Suite 1022A, comes with improved features aimed at enhancing the experience of both visitors and staff.
After renovations that started in the fall of 2025, the service center now offers high-speed Wi-Fi, public computers, scanning stations, and a public printer to cater to various service needs. Ramsey County has also introduced language access services, creating a more inclusive environment for the community it serves. A key component is the family-friendly design, allowing individuals to receive assistance while household members can relax or explore the mall. According to Ramsey County, the updated branding and an interior mural, which celebrates the county's diversity using multiple languages, contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
The center operates Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering an array of services under one roof. Residents can get help from Navigator support throughout the day, and take advantage of Community Career Labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additionally, essential services ranging from Child Support to Financial Assistance and Housing Stability, to Veterans Services, on specific days, cater to the needs of the community. These resources showcase the community-centric approach of the service center.
While Maplewood Mall is the latest addition, it stands as one of three locations serving Ramsey County residents. The downtown Saint Paul and Roseville branches also remain operational, offering their services throughout the workweek.
