
This morning, San José Police Department officials reported a fatal stabbing incident that marks the city's 17th homicide of the year, the violent encounter unfolded in the 2200 block of Story Road, and upon arrival at approximately 2:33 AM, officers found an adult male victim with at least one stab wound, said victim was declared deceased at the scene by medical staff, as detailed on the SJPD's official news release.
The perpetrator of the crime had fled before law enforcement arrived, turning this case into a search for an as-yet-unidentified suspect. The investigation, as it stands, is in the hands of the SJPD Homicide Unit, which is actively canvassing for leads. Detective Sergeant Martinez and Detective Jize are leading the charge.
