Two men have been arrested in Scottsdale after a substantial drug bust, according to reports. The Scottsdale Police Department has identified the suspects as 31-year-old Matsemela Zuzu Moloi and 26-year-old Luke Asher McConnell.
Following a detailed, months-long investigation, authorities seized an array of illicit substances along with cash and firearms. FOX 10 Phoenix detailed that among the recovered items were cocaine, ketamine, methamphetamine pills, 2C/Tusi, MDMA, Panax, and psilocybin, altogether amounting to a street value of approximately $34,000.
Additionally, the operation led to the recovery of around $45,000 suspected to be proceeds from drug sales, and three illegally possessed guns. The specifics of the location within Scottsdale where this bust took place were not disclosed, but the investigation primarily focused on the Old Town area. McConnell and Moloi are facing a gauntlet of drug and weapons charges, with their next legal steps currently pending. As reported by AZfamily, both suspects were jailed earlier in the week, and the investigation was spearheaded by Scottsdale PD's Drug Enforcement Unit.
