Authorities are intensifying the search for Ahassahullah Aminyar, a 31-year-old man who went missing from Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley yesterday. According to a social media post by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Ahassahullah, who is considered at risk due to a recent major surgery and medical condition, was last seen walking under the I-238 overpass near Mattox Road headed in the direction of Lake Chabot Road.
Described as being about 5'8" tall and weighing 225 pounds, he has short black hair, brown eyes, and a short mustache/beard; notably, there are also staples in his head and while Ahassahullah can communicate, he is believed to be developmentally disabled wearing blue hospital scrub pants, a yellow hospital gown tucked into the pants, a green jacket, and hospital socks, and possibly black sandals with a distinctive red and white design on top, the combination of his attire and physical condition underscores the urgency of finding him.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office has expressed deep concern for Ahassahullah's safety and has requested the public's assistance in locating him. If anyone has information about his whereabouts, they are encouraged to urgently contact the Sheriff's Office at (510) 667-7721 or contact local law enforcement.
