The "Backpacks & Boarding Passes" event aims to assist residents with convenient evening and weekend appointments for driver license and REAL ID services, right in time for school and air travel season, which now requires a federally compliant ID as of this past May, according to the Service Oklahoma.
The state is offering an array of services, including REAL ID issuance, as well as written and drive tests essential for those teens getting ready to hit the road. After-hours appointments, which can help meet the demands of the busy back-to-school season, must be scheduled in advance. They will be available from 6–8 p.m. during weekdays, plus 1–5 p.m. on Saturdays at locations in Chickasha, Hinton, Muskogee, OKC Classen, Stillwater, and The Farm in Tulsa, as reported by the Service Oklahoma.

"We know that back-to-school season and the busy fall months can make schedules especially hectic," O'Neil said, "By offering service options outside the standard workday, we’re giving Oklahomans more flexibility to take care of things like a teen’s drive test, or getting a REAL ID ahead of fall travel plans."
