A tragic accident occurred in the early hours of the morning in Webster Parish when Joey Washington, a 40-year-old resident of Sibley, lost his life in a single-vehicle crash involving his 2020 Ford F-150. According to a report by the Louisiana State Police Troop G, the accident took place around 2:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 371, near Yellow Pine Road.
The investigation, which is still ongoing, preliminarily points to Washington's vehicle leaving the road and descending an embankment before the collision with a tree occurred, following these events, the truck erupted into flames, restraint use at the time has not yet been clarified and Washington was subsequently declared dead at the scene.
