Simpson Strong-Tie, an industry leader in structural building products, is upscaling its presence in Chandler again, with the company securing a 67,000-square-foot space at Chandler Airport Business Park located at 2850 S. Cooper Road, as the outfit aims to bolster its training, manufacturing, and warehousing capabilities. The City of Chandler's Public Information Officer Stephanie Romero announced the expansion, which marks the company's third in the city since its arrival 12 years prior.
The structural building products supplier first established a foothold in Chandler with a 22,000-square-foot space, eventually stretching out to 32,000 square feet and now, embarking on this latest expansion to meet what it anticipates will be a growing demand for its products – in a statement obtained by the City of Chandler, Andre El-Koury, the company's Regional Director of Southwest Operations, called the move "Chandler 3.0." Simpson Strong-Tie is slated to occupy the new site later this year with plans to become fully operational before 2026 dawns.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, excited for the continued growth, “We look forward to celebrating the opening of their new facility,” echoing the sentiments of Chandler's Economic Development Director Micah Miranda, who congratulated Simpson Strong-Tie on their sustained success and their decision to invest further in the city – these quotes were sourced from the same City of Chandler press release.
Currently employing 12 staff members at its Chandler location, Simpson Strong-Tie is on track to potentially double this number, strengthening its commitment to the local economy and creating new job opportunities. The company, which has been pioneering building solutions since 1956, prides itself on its mission to engineer safer, stronger structures.
Chandler's reputation as a "Community of Innovation" is bolstered by such growth, with the city not only standing as Arizona's fourth-largest but also being recognized as a top place for women in tech and one of the safest communities nationwide. More details about the city's attributes and growth are available on Chandler’s official website.
