Deputies responded around 10 p.m. after KCRA 3 reported a ShotSpotter activation detected gunshots in the area. One victim who had been shot walked into an area hospital on their own, according to FOX 40. The condition of the victim remains unknown.
Officials detained one person in connection with the shooting, who was subsequently taken to an area hospital for shortness of breath as a precautionary measure. KCRA 3 notes that several buildings also appear to have been struck by gunfire, though officials have not yet specified how many buildings were hit or the extent of the damage.
