Residents of Benevento East can breathe a sigh of relief after a potentially dangerous situation was averted, thanks to the prompt response of the Spring Hill Fire Department. The local fire crew responded to a call yesterday regarding a structure fire in the neighborhood. According to the Spring Hill Fire Department'ssocial media post, they encountered an electrical odor and light smoke emanating from a home's garage upon their arrival.
The firefighters were diligent in their investigation, which led them to the source of the issue, "During their investigation, crews removed the front panel of the hot water heater and discovered the unit had shorted out (as seen in the photos)" the post detailed the situation in the Spring Hill Fire Department's statement.
One notable aspect of the response was the time it took for the first fire apparatus to arrive at the scene. The department reported that their team reached the incident location in just over eight minutes. However, they project a significant improvement in their response times with the forthcoming Fire Station 4. "Once our new Fire Station 4 is online, response times to this part of the city will improve drastically allowing us to protect our community even faster," the post on the Spring Hill Fire Department's official Facebook page stated.
