Derrick Snulligan, 62, of Velda Village Hills, has been sentenced to 107 months in prison for committing five bank robberies and one attempted robbery in Missouri. The robberies took place between April 18, 2023, and June 24, 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri reported.
Snulligan approached tellers with notes demanding specific cash amounts, sometimes wearing a mask. One attempted robbery on October 13, 2023, was interrupted when a teller activated an alarm, causing Snulligan to flee. Following his last two robberies on June 24, 2024, investigators traced a vehicle to Snulligan, who confessed and returned the remaining stolen money.
The case was investigated by the FBI and is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime in the community.
