If you're looking for a burst of outdoor fun before the summer sun sets for good, the City of St. Louis Park has a van for that. The Park 'N Play van is making its rounds in the city parks, serving as a mobile beacon of leisure for kids and families looking to squeeze every drop out of the summer break. According to a social media post from the City of St. Louis Park, the van will continue its excursions throughout the area until August 22, offering activities ranging from casual park hangouts to more structured basketball sessions.
For those not yet in the know, the Park 'N Play is essentially a recreation room on wheels, jam-packed with games and activities, and it parks itself right in the heart of community interaction. The van's schedule is a busy one; posted by the City of St. Louis Park, it reveals times and locations set in two-hour slots that are just begging for your picnic blankets and eager picnickers. On Mondays, for instance, residents can find recreation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Aquila Park, then shift to Ainsworth Park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The schedule is replete with opportunities to jump into playtime without previous planning. Tuesdays offer double the fun, starting at Northside Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and moving over to Fern Hill Park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Midweek, Wednesdays bring the van out early at Wolfe Park from 10:45 a.m. to noon, then onward to Oak Hill Park from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. And if you're a fan of dribbling and shooting hoops, Thursdays are your go-to: Justad Park from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and then Ainsworth Park again for Basketball in the Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
