It's been ten years since the tragic incident that took the lives of 24-year-old Whitney Brown and 28-year-old Devon Fletcher, reawakening the memories of a grim chapter in St. Louis' history. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, seeking to finally close this cold case, reminded the public of the loss. A recent post on their official Facebook page reignited calls for anyone with information to step forward, stating, "On August 13, 2015, 24-year-old Whitney Brown and 28-year-old Devon Fletcher were shot and killed." They appealed: "Know something? Say something."
The plea from the authorities is straightforward, calling on citizens to contact the Homicide Division directly or, for those seeking to remain anonymous while potentially claiming a reward, to reach out to CrimeStoppers. The Police Department assured confidentiality for tips coming through CrimeStoppers at their number (866) 371-TIPS.
As the anniversary of this tragedy passes, St. Louis residents are urged to cast their minds back to 2015 and come forward with any fragments of recollection that might assist in the case.
