
Police in St. Louis are calling on the public to help locate a suspect in a recent carjacking incident in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood. According to details shared by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the crime took place on Monday, when a 30-year-old woman was threatened at gunpoint and had her vehicle stolen.
Reported at around 4 p.m. in the 4000 block of Chouteau, St. Louis PD describes the suspect as a black male with medium length dreadlocks, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket with "Calvin Klein" inscribed boldly across the back. Witnesses noticed him wearing black Adidas pants with white stripes as he fled northbound on Sarah Avenue in the stolen Nissan Rogue, not seen since the woman turned over her keys.
The victim was reportedly unharmed during the carjacking. In the search for the suspect, law enforcement emphasizes the seriousness of this case, labeling the individual as armed and dangerous. To aid in this matter, the St. Louis Police Department has released images of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detailing the suspect's appearance further, the police note he was also carrying a cross-body bag and donned white and black shoes. The department has asked that any tips or leads be directed to the Second District Detectives, who are actively pursuing the investigation of the carjacking case. "The woman said the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the keys to her Rogue," the statement from the St. Louis Police Department read.
