Stoughton police have taken a local man into custody, confiscating both guns and drugs after a thorough investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies. According to the official Stoughton Police Department release, Brian Price, a 21-year-old resident of Stoughton, faces several severe charges stemming from the operation.
During an early morning surveillance operation on August 7, officials observed Price entering a GMC SUV. Shortly thereafter, a vehicle stop led to correctly apprehend Price without incident. On the heels of the arrest, officers and members from various law enforcement entities – including Homeland Security Investigations and several local police departments – executed a search warrant at Price's residence on Page Terrace.
The search of the apartment turned up significant contraband, as reported by the Stoughton Police. Detectives discovered two guns, one being a Glock handgun loaded with ammunition and the other a realistic BB gun designed to mimic a Sig Sauer. In addition to the firearms, authorities seized 165 grams of crack cocaine and materials typically associated with drug distribution. Another 26-year-old male from Stoughton will be summoned to court on conspiracy charges related to the case.
Price was arraigned the following day and is to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Chief Donna McNamara underlined the collaborative effort's success, stating on the Stoughton Police, "This investigation highlights the strength of collaboration between local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies." McNamara added, "I’m proud of the work our detectives did in leading this case, and by pooling our resources, we were able to remove dangerous drugs and an illegal firearm from our community and bring those responsible to justice."

Price is considered innocent until proven guilty, and the case remains ongoing with the upcoming court hearing set to determine further proceedings.
