A 33-year-old man became the victim of an attack that started with a verbal altercation and quickly escalated when the suspect brandished a sharp object and slashed the victim's neck, according to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed by the police, was reportedly on the train approaching the Bronx Park East train station when the confrontation started.
