
A shooting in Cincinnati's West End has left a teen hospitalized, as reported by LOCAL12 News. The incident occurred Monday night near the intersection of Wade Street and John Street. The victim, believed to be between 14 and 15 years old, sustained a gunshot wound to the upper left thigh.
Details surrounding the shooting remain sparse, however, a firearm was recovered at the scene, but as of now, there has been no information released regarding a suspect. The teen was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle and is said to be in stable condition, Local 12 News reports.
Meanwhile, WLWT has indicated that the shooting was reported around 9:20 p.m. on Monday, close to Pinecone Lane, though it has not provided updates on the extent of injuries or what may have led to the unfortunate event.
Extending the narrative, FOX19 revealed that the wounded teen was driven by friends to Cincinnati Children's Hospital shortly after the incident. Captain Stephen Bower has confirmed the shooting took place around 9:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Wade Street, and additionally stated that the juvenile's injuries are non-life-threatening. At the scene, authorities found not only a gun but also four bullet casings. Nevertheless, there remains no identified suspect at this time, as confirmed by Captain Bower.
