The Boston Fire Department reported via social media that firefighters were called to the scene around midnight for a technical rescue operation. "A truck was wedged between a light pole and hit the building," the post detailed, recounting the extrication of the individual from the truck by the emergency service teams collaborating at the chaotic site.

Following the incident, further updates emerged from the department's social media. Notably, Deputy Chief Martin McCormack made statements to the press, explaining that Rescue 1 faced the arduous task of pulling the truck from its precarious lodging within the building's facade.
