Upcoming bridge repairs are planned as part of the I-240 project in Memphis. The work will cover a 4.1-mile stretch from near Poplar Avenue (Exit 15) to Summer Avenue (Exit 12) at the I-40 and I-240 interchanges, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

The first phase of repairs is scheduled for tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. through Monday next week at 6:00 a.m. on I-240 eastbound, from just north of Walnut Grove (Exit 13) to I-40 East (Exit 12C). During this period, two lanes will be closed and three lanes will remain open. The second phase will take place two weeks later from September 5 at 7:00 p.m. through September 8 at 6:00 a.m., with three lanes closed and two lanes open. Access to I-40 East via Exit 12C will remain available throughout construction.
