The Oakland Police Department has issued a call for public assistance in the search for a missing young man, Jordan Smiley, who they say is at risk due to his medical conditions. The plea for help, disseminated through their social media channels, pinpoints the time of Smiley's last known whereabouts to approximately 3:00 p.m. on August 5, near the 300 block of Burlwood Avenue in Oakland.
Described as an 18-year-old Black male, with a height of 5'7" and a weight of 160 pounds, Smiley was reportedly last seen clothed in black pants and a dark-colored tank top, according to the Oakland Police Department's post. Sporting black hair and brown eyes, his family has voiced concerns, emphasizing that Smiley is autistic, which adds another layer of urgency to the search.
