The search intensifies for 14-year-old Lawrence "LJ" Trowell, who vanished from his home in Detroit's North End neighborhood. According to ClickOnDetroit, LJ was last seen around midnight on Wednesday. His family describes his disappearance as completely out of character, citing that the Cass Tech student is not known for getting into trouble or running away.
LJ’s father, confused by the events of the evening, told ClickOnDetroit, “My youngest son said he came back on the porch, and he went back and forth one or two times and bent down and just disappeared off the porch.” On the night Lawrence went missing, he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with red writing, black Adidas joggers, and black flip-flops. Search efforts have involved local volunteers covering the East Side, West Side, and Highland Park areas, distributing flyers and gathering any information that could assist in locating Lawrence.
A social media post from the Detroit Police Department’s Missing seeks information regarding Lawrence’s last known location. Family members have also asked anyone with relevant details to come forward and have announced a reward for information that leads to his safe return.
