El Paso's Sun Bowl Stadium is setting the stage for an endearing encounter between UTEP football enthusiasts and the 2025 Miners. Scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 2:30 pm, the UTEP Football Fan Day promises an afternoon ripe with community spirit and football fever, and it won't cost fans a dime. Head coach Scotty Walden extended an open invitation, spotlighting the event as a pivotal moment to bridge the gap between the fans and the team before they kick off their season later in the month.

Announced by UTEP Athletics, the fan-centric event will be studded with activities including autograph signing sessions, photo ops with the players, and a variety of games on the storied turf. As obtained by UTEP Athletics, Coach Walden said, "Miner Nation, this is your chance to meet our players and coaches! We know how important your support will be this season, and we want to get the chance to connect with you on a personal level before we open our season on August 30th."

The event will also serve to honor the dedication of season ticket holders with a tangible token of gratitude, a custom-designed “Sun City” hat. These exclusive hats are touted as a limited edition offering, one per account, a thoughtful souvenir for those who have held their support firm for the Miners. Starting Monday, Aug. 11, hats can be picked up at the Eisenberg Family Ticket Office, though they will first be distributed at the Football Fan Day event.
