
A 28-year-old woman has been formally charged following a violent incident in Chicago that left a teenager severely injured. Ashley Hamilton, residing on the 700 block of E 130th Pl., faces one felony count of first-degree attempted murder, with details emerging from a recent Chicago Police Department report.
Hamilton was apprehended on August 11, 2025, by the combined efforts of the Chicago Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, in the vicinity of E. 111th St; she stands accused of using a vehicle as a weapon on April 26, when she allegedly intentionally struck an 18-year-old female who was present in the 400 block of W. 112th St., information based on the police narrative and the detainee was taken into custody and is now facing charges, a detention hearing is set for today at 2600 S. California.
