The quiet of a Northwoods neighborhood was shattered by gunfire this past weekend in an incident that has left one woman dead and a community searching for answers. According to a press release from the St. Louis County Police Department, officers responded to a service call on Saturday, at approximately 12:49 p.m. in the 4400 block of Begg Boulevard, where they found an adult female victim of a shooting.
On arrival, police discovered the female with a fatal gunshot injury and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The City of Northwoods Police Department, upon recognizing the gravity of the situation, promptly reached out to the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons for assistance.
