Westbound traffic on 11th Street is set to experience significant disruptions following the closure of one lane between Queens Boulevard and New Orleans Avenue for nearly a year, officials report. The closure, which began at 7 a.m. yesterday, is scheduled to remain in place until 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure, required for roadway work, will redirect westbound traffic, with drivers instructed to access 11th Street via Breaux Avenue from Peters Road and proceed eastbound, according to an official announcement from Jefferson Parish.
