The Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) has achieved another accolade, being named once more to the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Employers for 2025, as confirmed by Ysleta ISD. Forbes, in partnership with the statistics authority Statista, handpicked the winners after a comprehensive survey that canvassed over 160,000 U.S. employees from varied companies, each of which boasts a roster of at least 500 people.
In the selection process, a dual evaluation system, comprising personal appraisals from the employees themselves and public ratings from their acquaintances and professionals in the same field, buoyed YISD's standing. The recognitions were announced on Thursday, August 21, making it two consecutive years for the district's inclusion on this prestigious list. "Earning a place on the Forbes’ Best-In-State Employers list for the first time in 2024 was an exceptional feat for Ysleta Independent School District," Dr. Xavier De La Torre, the Superintendent of Schools, told Ysleta ISD. Over 2 million employer evaluations factored into the comprehensive study that has reaffirmed YISD's leadership role in fostering a positive work environment.
Satisfaction at the workplace is at the heart of YISD's success, signaling to other institutions the high benchmark the district set for employee contentment at the regional and statewide levels. As part of the acknowledgement, Dr. De La Torre added, "Ysleta ISD’s dedicated employees are the driving force behind our success as the No. 1 highest-performing school district in the El Paso region," as per Ysleta ISD. This commitment to creating a culture of high performance and stability not only reflects in workplace practices but also significantly influences the quality of education delivered to students.
