Last Monday, September 1, a serious hit-and-run accident left one dead and several injured at the intersection of Northside Parkway NW and Mount Paran Road NW. The incident, which occurred around 5:23 PM, involved a Toyota Prius, carrying three individuals, and a Hyundai Elantra, found abandoned at the scene. The injuries sustained led to the hospitalization of the Prius's 23-year-old driver and a 25-year-old male passenger, while a 62-year-old female passenger later died due to her critical injuries, as reported by the Atlanta Police Department.
Authorities report that a southbound Prius was struck by a westbound Hyundai Elantra on Northside Parkway NW after the Elantra’s driver lost control. The driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Buck Rollins, 21, has since surrendered at the Fulton County Jail and faces multiple charges, including first-degree vehicular homicide, hit and run, reckless driving, and speeding.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities have not yet released updates on the condition of the hospitalized victims.
