Tempe Police said a street racing crash on Monday night left five people critically injured. AZFamily said a motorcycle and a Ford Mustang were racing on Rio Salado Parkway around 8:30 p.m. when the Mustang missed a turn and crashed east of Rural Road.
All five occupants were ejected from the vehicle. "All 5 were taken to the hospital with critical injuries," according to FOX 10 Phoenix. Investigators collected evidence at the scene, including video showing the Mustang with front-end damage and a downed photo radar sign. The motorcyclist involved returned to the scene after the crash.
