
A shooting incident at Deerfield Township Fire Station took a fatal turn yesterday afternoon, leading to the arrest of 77-year-old Gerald Olin Finley on charges of murder and felonious assault. As reported by LOCAL12, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call at Fire Station 57, where, despite first responders' efforts, the gunshot victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident was first reported at approximately 3:17 p.m., and Finley was present at the scene during the time of deputy arrival. Finley, detained by the authorities and questioned by detectives, was later charged and booked into Warren County Jail. According to WLWT, the identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, pending notification of next-of-kin.
In light of the events, Gerald Olin Finley is scheduled for a court appearance set for 10 a.m. Monday, as per jail records. FOX19 reports that a $200,000 bond was set on his felonious assault charge, although there is currently a "no bond" order on the murder charge.
