An Alabama teen has been taken into custody for his alleged involvement in a deadly shooting that took place on January 31, 2023, in Nashville. 19-year-old Brandon Long from Decatur, Alabama, is accused of murdering 23-year-old Jonathan Seda following what the Metro Nashville Police Department describes as a "suspected drug transaction" inside a vacant home in Nashville's 3200 block of Crowe Drive, according to WKRN.
Nearly two years after the incident, which also resulted in the wounding of Seda's 18-year-old brother, authorities confirmed the arrest. According to details released by WKRN, Long surrendered himself at the MNPD headquarters after he learned from Alabama authorities that he was wanted in Nashville. Long is now facing charges as he was 16 years old at the time of the alleged killing.
In their report, WSMV noted that Long is being held at the Davidson County Jail pending a detention hearing in Juvenile Court.
