According to FOX 5 Atlanta, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Wedgewood Circle following a report of a domestic situation. The suspect, having been confronted by responding officers, retreated into the home with the victim and discharged a firearm, culminating in serious injury.
In a statement obtained by Atlanta News First, the Coweta County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the deputies, after the suspect re-entered the home, shot at the man before bringing him into custody. Following the shooting inside the house, the injured party was urgently airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital for care.
