Atlanta has witnessed the arrest of two suspects in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred nearly a year ago. The Atlanta Police Department, with assistance from the FBI Violent Crime Task Force, has taken into custody 24-year-old Taryn Dorsey yesterday, in relation to a homicide at 750 Cascade Place SW. The official release from Atlanta Police Department states that Dorsey faces charges including Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Last Tuesday, 18-year-old Kendrick Miliam was also arrested for his alleged involvement in the same incident. The charges against him mirror those set against Dorsey. Both suspects have been transported to Fulton County Jail to await further processing. This case continues to develop, as the police strive to carefully piece together the events that led to the tragic loss of a young life last October.
The incident in question happened nearly a year earlier on October 26th, 2024. Officers who responded to a call at 750 Cascade Place SW found a 23-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was unresponsive at the scene and later declared deceased by medical personnel. The Homicide Unit of the Atlanta PD began their investigation at that time, an investigation which has now seemingly begun to bear fruit with these recent arrests.
Details about the possible motives or circumstances that led to the shooting remain scant as the Atlanta PD Homicide Unit continues their work.
