Get ready to feast your eyes on some breathtaking natural beauty at the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area this Friday. According to the official National Park Service website, the Bandy Creek Visitor Center is set to host the annual Art in the Park Photo Contest reception on September 5 at 151 Stable Road, Oneida, starting at 5:00 PM ET. Expect to see the great outdoors captured in stunning detail as photographers from around the region come together to showcase their work.
This year marks the eleventh installment of the event, and attendees can look forward to not only visual pleasures but also light refreshments and live music to enjoy. The photos on display have been carefully selected to win across five categories: Recreation, Kentucky Landscapes, Tennessee Landscapes, Flora & Fauna, and Human History. Plus, there's a People’s Choice award up for grabs, which will be decided on the night.
"The winning entries have been judged on technical excellence, originality, creativity, visual impact, and artistic merit," states the National Park Service announcement. For those interested in taking part in the festivities or eager to simply view some of the region's finest photography, further details can be obtained by reaching out to the Big South Fork NRRA at 423-286-7275.
