As the investigation intensifies into the fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of Bonnie Fontenot in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana State Police have made a breakthrough. Troop D, combined with the efforts of the detectives from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations – Sulphur Field Office, have identified a possible suspect vehicle. Their findings suggest that the vehicle in question is an older model Ford F-150, specifically from the years 1997 to 2004, and is painted in what is known as Pacific Green Metallic—a hue that's not quite blue, not quite green.
Authorities are urging the public to be on the lookout for this pickup, which may have significant damage to either the front or driver's side. It's a vehicle that is believed to frequently roam the Jefferson Davis Parish area. This information comes following a substantial analysis of evidence by the investigators who are now looking to pinpoint the exact vehicle to further progress the case. They have also posited that the fateful event occurred sometime between August 22 and August 27. According to the statement obtained by Louisiana State Police, the preliminary investigation initially determined that the suspect vehicle could be either a pickup truck or an SUV, likely green or turquoise in color.
