Yesterday, a serious security incident unfolded at Adams Middle School in Brentwood when a student was found in possession of a firearm. According to a social media post by the City of Brentwood Police Department, the concealed weapon was discovered in the student's backpack at around 8:15 AM after school authorities were tipped off.
The Brentwood Police Department's School Resource Officer was swiftly on scene, and following an investigation, it was confirmed that the gun was real. As a result, the juvenile was arrested and transported to Juvenile Hall for booking. The school and local law enforcement are working with the student's parents and the district to understand the events leading to this alarming discovery.
