Starting on Monday next week, Old Batley Road North at State Route 61 (SR 61) in Oliver Springs will be closed for bridge construction.
Traffic will be detoured through Brooks Road and Batley Road while the new SR 61 bridge over Brushy Creek is built, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
The detour is expected to remain in place until September 30, 2026, though the schedule may change depending on weather conditions. The Tennessee Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for possible delays, use caution in the construction area, and check travel conditions before driving. Handheld phone use is prohibited while operating a vehicle.
