The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is finishing major lighting improvements along Interstate 210 in Calcasieu Parish. Since March, crews have been working on an $8.09 million project that is now nearing completion.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development website, eighty-two new light poles have been installed along the I-210 Prien Lake Bridge corridor, using energy-efficient LED lights.
The project also included upgrades to electrical systems and the addition of new glare screens on the bridge’s east approach. Subcontractor Kiewit Louisiana Co. led the work.
