The City of Chandler has been recognized for its employee wellness programs, receiving the 2025 Healthy Arizona Worksite Platinum Award from the Arizona Department of Health Services. The award honors organizations that implement programs to improve employee health and community well-being.
As per the City of Chandler, the Healthy Arizona Worksite Award evaluates programs such as health screenings, physical activity initiatives, and stress management. Chandler scored highly for its organizational support of workplace wellness and for collaborating with community partners to promote health and equity. Examples include employee participation in For Our City Day and Arbor Day events, which focus on neighborhood revitalization and urban forestry.
Chandler has also been recognized for its blood donation efforts. The city received the Vitalent Impact Award for promoting blood donations and earned gold in the Valentines for Life Award for its quarterly blood drives, which require at least 100 blood components per drive and a 90% goal achievement rate.
