The Chicago Police Department has issued a missing person alert for Stacey Sears, a 51-year-old African American male, who was last seen leaving the vicinity of the 4700 Block of W. Ohio St. on August 28, 2025. Standing at 5 feet 11 inches, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with brown eyes and bald, Sears's description was released in hopes that members of the public might aid in his safe return.
Sears is reported to have schizophrenia and suffers from seizures, which may leave him disoriented. According to the police, he has a history of being found at medical facilities in Chicago and the western suburbs. There exists a possibility that he may be currently unidentified at a medical or nursing facility under the name John Doe. The authorities urge anyone with information to come forward and contact Area 4 SVU at 312-746-8251 or call 911 if they have seen Sears or have any information regarding his whereabouts.
