Clackamas County is opening its coffers in an effort to stimulate local economic growth among traded-sector businesses. A new Business Development Grant Program is calling for applications from companies seeking to either set roots or expand within the county borders. The program is laying out a total of $650,000, idling on the table for qualifying businesses that can make an economic splash with projects such as equipment purchases, facility renovations or expansions, employment expansion, or professional staff training.
The grant is tailored to support substantial economic contributions, doling out up to $100,000 to individual enterprises. Whether it's a small start-up thinking big, or an established operation gearing for growth, the county is prepared to invest. However, the clock is ticking, applications must be in by 5 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2025 — no exceptions. Projects put forth will be rigorously vetted on their potential economic impact, verifiable feasibility, and their fit with the county's strategic development goals.
An upcoming webinar should shine some light on the finer points of this opportunity for interested parties. Scheduled for Sept. 16, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., the county promises to unpack details concerning eligibility and the application process. Sharpening a competitive edge, this information session could mean the difference between a compelling application and a forgettable one. Registration details for the online event are available through the county's official communication channels.
Further specifics can be gleaned from the county's press release.
