An investigation is underway by Cobb County authorities after a brawl erupted among teenagers at a local Waffle House. The incident, which took place early Sunday at the establishment on Sandy Plains Road, saw a group of adolescents become combative after being asked to leave the premises multiple times.
According to a WSB Radio report, the confrontation grew heated as the youth engaged in a verbal dispute with the staff and then escalated further, with some allegedly toppling plates off the counter. Jumped over the counter into the kitchen, some of the teens did.
The Cobb County Police responded to the chaotic scene after being alerted to the fight in progress. A video has emerged on social media, showing the altercation's intensity, with at least one individual being restrained in a headlock and struck repeatedly on the head. "Several patrons attempted to intervene before police arrived," FOX 5 Atlanta reported, adding to the accounts of witnesses who sought to de-escalate the situation.
Rumors circulated suggesting that the individuals involved might be associated with Sprayberry High School, having purportedly attended the institution's homecoming game just days prior to the Waffle House incident. However, authorities have stated there is no evidence confirming this link, as stated in the FOX 5 Atlanta coverage. A fight happened on Sunday, while the homecoming game was held last Friday.
Meanwhile, detectives are actively seeking to identify all participants involved in the fight.
