After several years of inactivity, the Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful Advisory Council has been reestablished, signaling a renewed focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship. The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners announced Monday that the effort is officially back, placing residents once again at the forefront of community beautification.

With a slate of projects including shredding days, river clean-ups, and park beautifications, the KCRB's work has historically kept the local environment not only looking good but also advanced public awareness on ecological concerns. Informed by the Council's past success, they are appointing citizens, working alongside the City of Conyers and the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners, to forge a cleaner, more sustainable Rockdale, as per the county's official announcement.

The KCRB mission is far-reaching, focusing on improving the community's health and appearance through litter prevention, beautification projects, and promoting recycling. “The Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful Council represents the heart of what makes Rockdale strong—our residents, businesses, and local government coming together to make our community cleaner, greener, and more welcoming. Its reactivation ensures that these efforts will once again have a strong, organized presence,” said Commissioner Tuwanya Smith, in a statement obtained by the Rockdale County website.

KCRB is seeking volunteers and sponsors to help advance its initiatives. The Council holds monthly meetings at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the C.E. Steele Community Center, welcoming all community members interested in contributing to the cause. Additional information is available through Rockdale County’s official channels.
